TIK TOCK TIK TOCK TIK TOCK TIK…
And invigilator
finally speaks up the most awaiting words, “candidates
you can begin now”.
Being a
student Examination day or season is always like a horror movie in reality.
Students give their best to just attempt maximum 5 to 10 questions😓. Many people say that the Day of
Judgment is only one after this world is demolished, but students face
judgmental day every month, in six months or lucky time period approaches and
they go for exams per year.
Tickling pen,
gazes on watch, sweat on head and scissor hands every student faces their own
story. All good and bad deeds are flashing back in mind, praying God to just
pass them so that they’ll be a good human being, helpful too. Every single
being appearing for exam belong to different religion and culture, they pray
and seek help from their gods in various manners. There are also over-confident
ones who know they are definitely going to pass or failJ. Many appear in only those questions
they know best answers off, just to unload the burden of exam and there are
also those who write answer of every question just in hope examiner will accept
or give few marks.
The most
terrifying moment in life is turning-up paper and having first look over it,
that’s the time when students’ whole life is turned upside down. Lucky ones
step-on it, move on with fluency and ace it, however on other side few unlucky
candidates are also found who studied every single word but unfortunately do
not remember anything at time (this is natural phenomena no one can eradicate).
Racing palpitations, loading mind and blurry data makes the run of time during
exams of few candidates. And then, a Kabir Singh, sitting anywhere, asks for an
extra line-sheet “OH MY GODDDD” moment
for entire class. If it is a girl who
screams first for the sheet just be sure she’s going to top this time. Numberless
benchers also ask for permission to toilet and divert mind of crowd.
Every type of
exams has its own rules and regulation. If you belong to Board System of
Pakistan then you might have also prepared some micro-copies of answers and
have hide them somewhere in your body. On other hand, if you are candidate of
Cambridge Assessment International Examination (CAIE) then the prayers are only
way left out… L
Most famous
talks you’ll hear by a board student are:
“I’ve studied
but in case I’ve also some material hidden let’s pray the invigilator standing
must not be strict.”
“huhh I don’t
want team to round our campus please it’s mathematical examination I can’t go
for it without chits…”
And then
toppers appear, “bro, I’ve completed every chapter only have confusion in 14th
one, what about you have you gone through that?”
And the
backbencher listening to him exclaimed, “THERE
WAS CHAPTER 14 TOOO…..?” the dead silence mode turn on… L
But if I
describe the talks of CAIE students they’ll be like:
“Please God
let examiner be in good mood while making paper, and while checking too, and
threshold must be settle at average marks.” Prayed in a group, Ameen followed
by all.
Moreover, if
you belong to any university then you’re also judged by 3 invigilators standing
right in front of you, roaming in whole class. They also sometimes passes by
and read out your answer script and sometimes after you submit it they without
letting anyone know go through it. Feels like trapped in cage….
Seated in examination hall on first bench hits hard even if you’ve covered complete syllabus know every bit of book, notes or everything, it makes you realize this is the karma. As soon as time passes by, invigilators’ announcements triple x (x3) the speed of candidate’s writing. The last page of almost every student’s copy give clear visualization that doctors hand-writing is much better 😂.
And then “candidates you are left with 5 minutes”.
Those
snatching eyes of invigilator, racing hands of students with painful aches a
complete mess situation. No one knows what they are writing and where were
they. Everyone’s just to finish mode is on.
And then “stop writing, pens down” announcement
give sort of electric shock, fight for extra five
minutes, sir two minutes please or sir my roll number begins. But cruel
invigilators don’t let anyone write after a minute of required time.
This whole
story is not only based upon students of Pakistan, it is the story of every
single candidate who sit on the desk and appear any exam in life. Around more
than 18 years of life every literate person be part of this judgmental day and
for about 324 times minimum.
Wishing every student good luck for their exam and
those who passed this stage hope you felt reality and enjoyed it!
